Leg training: because of your past tendon/Achilles surgery and the standing limitation you described, this plan avoids barbell squats, walking lunges, and loaded calf raises. Use a comfortable range and keep your heels planted.
If dumbbell RDLs feel unstable: replace them with a 45-degree back extension using bodyweight, 3 sets of 10–12, resting 75 seconds.
Machine numbers vary: “50 lb” on one machine may not feel like 50 lb on another. The rep range and clean form decide whether the load is right.
Warm-up: use a bike for 5–7 minutes, then perform two lighter warm-up sets before the first loaded exercise. Warm-up sets do not count toward the programmed sets.
Medical note: oral minoxidil can affect blood pressure and heart rate. Do not train through new dizziness, faintness, racing heartbeat, chest discomfort, or unusual swelling; contact your prescriber.
